CASE STUDY
Client: Katonah Museum of Art
Location: Westchester, New York
Challenge: The Katonah Museum of Art needed
to modernize their online presence in time for their 50th
anniversary celebration. In addition to providing patrons
with easy access to information about exhibitions, artists
and events, the new site needed to provide outreach and
educational materials to better serve the community. Lastly,
the Museum demanded a highly customized design that accurately
represents their personality and mission.
Solution: The Katonah Museum's new website
provides their staff with complete control over the site's
content via an easy-to-use browser-based interface. Ease
of use is a critical issue to any organization whose staff
is largely volunteer.
The new website not only provides information about current
and upcoming exhibitions and events, it also provides patrons
with a searchable online calendar and exhibition archive.
Meanwhile, members of the education department are able
to upload education materials to the site, allowing teachers
to download them for classroom activities.
